Elgin Rock Club (formally known as ERAMS, Elgin Rock And Mineral Society) is a state chartered not for profit corporation organized in June, 1962.
The purpose of this organization is to stimulate scientific and educational interest in geology, archaeology and related earth sciences, and in lapidary craftsmanship.
Membership: Any person 16 years of age or older, who is interested in the objects of this club is eligible for membership.
Any person under 16 years of age in a member family, or who is sponsored by a member, may become a junior member and does not need to pay dues.
Meetings are held on the fourth Friday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Church of the Brethren, 783 West Highland Avenue, Elgin, Illinois (September - May), except in March. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or adult.
