Elgin Rock Club (formally known as ERAMS, Elgin Rock And Mineral Society) is a state chartered not for profit corporation organized in June, 1962.
The purpose of this organization is to stimulate scientific and educational interest in geology, archaeology and related earth sciences, and in lapidary craftsmanship.
Membership: Any person 16 years of age or older, who is interested in the objects of this club is eligible for membership.
Any person under 16 years of age in a member family, or who is sponsored by a member, may become a junior member and does not need to pay dues.
Meetings are held on the third Friday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Elgin Community College 1700 Spartan Dr, Building M Room 170, Elgin, Illinois (September - May). Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or adult.
